    • Make a Difference! Become an AVID Tutor

    Description of AVID Duties

AVID tutors work in the AVID elective class directly under the supervision of an AVID-trained teacher. Tutors facilitate collaborative group sessions consisting of middle and/or high school students that enhance their abilities to utilize high order thinking, problem solve, think critically, and apply study skills. AVID tutors are not permitted to do the work for the students, but are required to assist students with effective problem solving and self reflection techniques.
