Page ContentTitle II, Part A funding provides nonpublic schools with professional development for teacher training in the core academic subjects as well as best practices in the areas of classroom management and instructional strategies. Nonpublic schools who wish to participate are provided an allocation for services based on student enrollment on the 100th day of school, (The 100 day count is the date public and nonpublic school enrollment is certified for federal program services the following year.) This allocation is used for participation in various professional development opportunities provided in the identified core academic subject areas through Volusia County Schools Professional Development Department or within the state of Florida. Nonpublic schools complete a Title II professional development plan that includes a needs assessment, activities, assurances, and budget plans and is submitted to the Title II office for approval before any professional development training is approved. Please complete a Professional Development registration form and submit to the Title II office for processing.
