Comprehensive health education is part of an integrated curriculum in grades pre-kindergarten through five. The curriculum includes information on safety, injury prevention, mental and emotional health, growth and development, family life, environmental health, consumer health, personal health and hygiene, substance abuse prevention, disease prevention and control, nutrition, and emergency care.

Health lessons are provided to middle school students through health modules integrated into the curriculum. The required one semester life management skills class is taught during each school year.  This course is designed to help students stay healthy and make wise consumer decisions.

Human growth and development, or human sexuality, is an integral part of the curriculum and is the area about which parents ask the most questions. The school district follows the Florida Sunshine State Standards and Student Progression Plan.
