Page Content Approximately 20,000 ninth through twelfth grade students are enrolled in Volusia County's ten high schools. All public high school programs meet or exceed state requirements. Extensive offerings are available in language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, music, art, computer education, foreign language, career and technical education, and physical education. All standard high schools also have specialized computer-assisted learning labs that may be used for a variety of purposes including test review and remediation. Specific courses, including elective offering, vary between schools based on student demand, community needs and staff availability. Extra and co-curricular programs include: student government band, chorus, theater service organizations athletic teams special interest clubs These offerings are dependent upon the specific needs of each high school community.
