And that's why Volusia County School Board has partnered with Florida Blue and Florida Health Care Plans to establish a comprehensive Wellness Program designed to improve your health, well-being, and productivity. Components of the program consist of free gym access to 70+ facilities throughout Volusia, Flagler, Seminole and Brevard Counties, greatly reduced Weight Watchers fees, and important, an optional annual Personal Health Assessment (PHA), and helpful health related postings.The goals of the Wellness Program are to:Provide information about your current health status,Help employees set realistic wellness goals,Supply employees with the tools and resources to reach your goals, andManage health care costs - An effective wellness program makes a difference in health costs over time. However, our insurance carriers, Florida Blue and Florida Health Care Plans are paying the monthly gym access fee on your behalf at participating gyms.Beginning with the new plan year effective October 1, 2017, benefit-eligible employees may take the PHA, although it is not required for the free gym access. This is FHCP's new health management tool providing health education and programs empowering employees to take a more active role in their healthcare. To access "Welcome to Wellness" simply log in to the Member Portal. If you don't have a Member Portal account, you'll need to create an account.Employees with Florida Blue have access to "my Health" by WebMD. "My Health" includes an easy, interactive four-step process, plus coaching, to help personalize a plan for making health goals attainable and sustainable.
