Suspensions

School suspensions (both in school and out of school) have negative outcomes including loss of instructional time, increased likelhood of grade retention, decreased likelihood of completing high school, and increased likelihood for juvenile justice involvement.  The following links will provide educators with alternatives to suspension and tools to rethink suspension practices.
