    Message from the Principal

    Good Evening Stingray Families,

Thank you for a great first nine weeks at New Smyrna Beach Middle School!  As we settle into our second nine weeks and the weather begins to cool off please remember that there is a Volusia County school uniform policy in effect year-round.  Students must wear a polo or oxford style shirt in red, black, gray, white or teal along with khaki, jean, dark blue or black shorts, skirt, pants etc.  Jackets, hoodies, sweaters and sweatshirts may be worn over polo and oxford shirts but the collar must be visible at all times.  T-shirts may not be worn over polo or oxford shirts.  Middle school students must also wear shoes with a closed toe and heel, no flip-flops or athletic slides are permitted.  Additionally, there will be no costumes or masks permitted on campus.  Please refrain from allowing your student to wear anything resembling a costume to school tomorrow, October 31st.  Report Cards were distributed last Friday, October 28th.  Please make sure to take the time to review your child's report card for both grades and conduct.  If you have any questions or concerns please call you child's grade house to schedule a parent teacher conference where a plan for success can be created together.  Our Certified School Counselors and administrators are also available for assistance and can be reached by email or by calling the school.
