A Note from your School Counselor:

    Dear Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself! My name is Mrs. Bolt and I am the Elementary School Counselor. I am so excited to be part of the Rocket family; already it is so apparent of how close-knit and welcoming the Read-Pattillo community is. I feel very lucky to be part of it and look forward to a wonderful 2019/2020 school year.

As the School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, behavioral, and social/emotional development of all students.  I look forward to offering support to the Read-Pattillo students, staff, families, and community.  I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups, conducting classroom guidance lessons including the Sanford Harmony curriculum, meeting with parents, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all our students.

I am here to advocate for all students. If you ever have any questions or concerns, or do not wish to have your child participate in these school guidance groups or individual counsel, please do not hesitate to call 386-424-2600 extension 34697 or email me @ any time. Please feel free to leave a voice message and I will return your call within 24 hours.

I am so excited to work with your children and get to know each one of you as well your families throughout the school year!  Go Rockets!

    Kind Regards,
    Mrs. Bolt

Students and staff at Read-Pattillo Elementary continuously develop and share innovative ways to end bullying and promote a climate of safety, acceptance, and inclusion campus wide.  Throughout the year, students participate in a comprehensive anti-bullying program which provides activities and lessons to encourage and motivate students to maintain a bully-free environment.

Students will learn to identify the differences between teasing, harassment and bullying, as well as, how to report incidents appropriately.  Anonymous bullying reports are also available.  All incidents will be fully investigated and handled accordingly.
